UNOW Day Nursery, on the Princeton University Campus, is expanding and moving into a new state of the art facility this fall 2017.  We are searching for highly qualified and energetic teachers with a passion and heart for working with young children and their families in a NAEYC accredited program.  UNOW Day Nursery has been in existence for over 40 years as a non-profit organization and maintains a vibrant partnership with the Princeton University to provide care and education for children 3 months to 5 years in the Princeton campus community. UNOW Day Nursery is a full-Day, full year program with regular hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm and extended hours from 7:00 to 8:00am and 6:00 to 7:00pm depending on demand

Positions still open for August 14, 2017 start date:

Infant and Toddler, Lead Teachers (Salary Exempt, full time) – Lead the teaching team of 4 full time staff in a classroom of infants or toddler age children.

  • Minimum AA in Early Childhood Education (ECE), strongly prefer a BA in ECE or BA related field meeting the NAEYC equivalent.  Minimum, AA degree in Early Childhood Education or NAEYC equivalent, or an advanced degree in a related field and more than 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a NAEYC accredited program.
  • Strongly prefer, Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an equivalency as defined by NAEYC
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an equivalent position working with infant and toddler age children.

Infant and Toddler, Associate Teachers (Non-exempt, full time)  – Teach and care for a small class size of infants or toddler age children along with the Lead Teacher and Teaching Assistant and another classroom support staff.

  • Minimum AA in Early Childhood Education (ECE), strongly prefer a BA in ECE or BA related field meeting the NAEYC equivalent.  Minimum, AA degree in Early Childhood Education or NAEYC equivalent, or an advanced degree in a related field and more than 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a NAEYC accredited program.
  • Strongly prefer, Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an equivalency as defined by NAEYC
  • Minimum of more than 1 experience in an equivalent position working with infant and toddler age children.

Teaching Assistant (non-exempt, full time) – working in a caring environment, assisting the Lead and Associate Teaching to provide a caring and responsive learning environment for a small group of infants or toddler age children. 

  • Minimum, current certification with CDA, Infant and Toddler Care and at least 2 years relevant experience.
  • Strongly prefer and AA in Early Childhood Education or NAEYC equivalent and at least 2 year’s relevant Experience.
