I was born and raised in North Jersey. I arrived in the Mercer county area in 1995 and never left. Since then I have raised 2 daughters, completed an Associates Degree in Computer Systems & Networking Technology and worked in the document destruction and management industry for 13 of those years.
Facing an empty nest, I was drawn to working in an academic setting to circle back to a childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Instead of teaching, however, I still get to realize my dream by helping to support my personal heroes. This is my fourth year working for UNOW! Time sure flies when you're having fun.
Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and generally working on my bucket list.
One of my favorite quotes is:
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” – Frederick Douglass
Since arriving at UNOW, my respect for the wonders of early childhood education has risen tremendously. Especially in recognizing the importance of preparing today’s youngest minds to embrace the positive influences of the past, the grave concerns of the present to better harness the resources of the future.
