I came to discover UNOW in 2018 seeking a change in professional surroundings. Faced with an empty nest, it seemed like the perfect place to work. Since then, I transitioned from the front desk to focusing on higher level administrative tasks and supporting UNOW in an HR role.
I was born and raised in North Jersey. I arrived in Mercer county for college in 1995 and never left. I completed my Degree in Computer Systems & Networking Technology and worked in the document destruction and management industry for over 13 years.
In that time, I stayed home to raise 2 daughters for several years before returning to the work force.
Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and generally working on a life bucket list together with my fiancé.
One of my favorite quotes is:
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” – Frederick Douglass
Since arriving at UNOW, my respect and admiration for the wonders of early childhood education have grown tremendously. From the perspective of having completed my child rearing experience, I have come to appreciate the importance of preparing today’s youngest minds with the skills to embrace the positive influences of the past, the evolving issues of the present to better harness the resources of the future.
